Before
“The setting is off by default, is presented as a clear choice at onboarding, and can be changed at any time in the User's account.”
After
“The setting is off until the User turns it on in the Consent Regions defined in the Privacy Policy, and on until the User turns it off elsewhere; it is presented as a clear choice at onboarding, and can be changed at any time in the User's account.”
What changed for game devs
Ludus AI's Model improvement setting controls training on your Prompts, Outputs and Project Content. Under the 14 August 2026 terms it was off by default for everyone. The current terms make it off by default only in Consent Regions (EEA, UK, Brazil, China, Quebec) and on by default elsewhere, including the US, until you turn it off in your account. If your project is under NDA or unannounced, check that setting now.
On timing: the new terms are dated 5 October 2026, but an Internet Archive copy taken Oct 17 still showed the 14 August version. We don't know when the new version went live; our checker first saw it on Oct 29.
