What changed for game devs

Genie was Luma's text-to-3D generator. Luma's App Store listing says it was sunset on January 1, 2026. That is the vendor's retirement date; our checker only detected the notice on October 23, 2026, so this is a late catch, not a new shutdown. The listing also says you can still export your content, so Genie models you made for a project are not locked in.

Luma's other terms are unchanged on our Luma page: the customer owns Output, and commercial use is limited to output made during an active paid subscription that allows it. We have no quote naming a current Luma plan for new 3D generation.

If you need text-to-3D today, our 3D model generator guide compares the tools that are still available.
